Synopsis: A Geek Tragedy takes the life story of Socrates, whom we call "Socrasees", and brings it into a Christian light. Three “geeks”, students of Socrasees, find themselves being chased by an angry landlord, since they have neglected to pay their rent. Rather than suffer the consequences, they go on a journey to find “The Golden Lease” , something that will resolve their housing dilemma forever. As students of Socrasees, they have been taught to “think", and in their thinking they discover certain truths,which puts them at odds with the mythological gods, Zeus and friends. In the end, they are caught up in a “Trojan War”, and lose their friend (well kind of), but gain an understanding of the reality of the One True God. Based on Aquinas' five proofs of the existence of God.
A GEEK TRAGEDY SHOW PACKAGE ($324): includes 27 scripts ( + 2 complimentary scripts). All shipping, handling and PayPal or credit card fees are included in the cost. If you are performing for paid admissions, please be sure to add a $50 royalty fee per performance.
A GEEK TRAGEDY SCRIPTS ONLY ($12 each): Additional scripts may be ordered if needed, after purchase of the show package. Purchasers are not permitted to make copies of any scripts or S.T.A.G.E. materials.
A GEEK TRAGEDY MUSIC PACKAGE ($85): This package includes lyrics and sheet music for keyboard. Copies may be made for teaching purposes.
ROYALTY FEE ($50 per performance): If play is performed for a paid admission audience, a royalty fee must be paid in advance with documentation of shows/dates. A certificate of permission will be provided once order is received.
A GEEK TRAGEDY DVD ($25 Rental fee): A perusal DVD of a live performance is available for rent for those who would like to see what a complete production can look like. This copy must be returned to S.T.A.G.E. after 30 days.
