Synopsis: A parody of "The Merchant of Venice" by William Shakespeare. Set on a tennis court in Venice, the first of its kind, three explorers search for the perfect "tennis thing" to play with their friends' new racket. Taking a loan from the greedy merchant trouble ensues when Padlock demands his fair wage; but how does one obtain a pound of dream? It's all about "love of neighbor" and the game of love-love.
THE MERCHANT OF TENNIS SHOW PACKAGE ($200): includes 20 scripts ( + 2 complimentary scripts). All shipping, handling and PayPal or credit card fees are included in the cost. If you are performing for paid admissions, please be sure to add a $50 royalty fee per performance.
THE MERCHANT OF TENNIS SCRIPTS ONLY ($10 each): Additional scripts may be ordered if needed, after purchase of the show package. Purchasers are not permitted to make copies of any scripts or S.T.A.G.E. materials.
ROYALTY FEE ($50 per performance): If play is performed for a paid admission audience, a royalty fee must be paid in advance with documentation of shows/dates. A certificate of permission will be provided once order is received.
THE MERCHANT OF TENNIS DVD ($25 Rental fee): A perusal DVD of a live performance is available for rent for those who would like to see what a complete production can look like. This copy must be returned to S.T.A.G.E. after 30 days.
THE MERCHANT OF TENNIS MUSIC PACKAGE ($75): Booklet containing lyrics and musical score for keyboard. May make copies for teaching purposes.
